Memory Cafe

Run by Carraway for people who live with dementia, their carers and households

What is a Memory Cafe?

Southampton’s Memory Cafés are a friendly safe place to meet regularly with other families living with dementia, somewhere to share and learn from your own and other’s experiences. There is no referral process, anyone with any memory difficulties is welcome.

Representatives from Southampton’s dementia services (Often this an admiral nurse or someone from carers in Southampton, among others) are regularly on hand to answer your queries and help solve any potential issues you may be experiencing.

At the cafes there is an occasional speaker along with plenty of time to talk to other carers and  volunteers. No café is complete without the opportunity for a cup of tea and some homemade cake.

When do they happen at St Denys?

  • Tuesday afternoons, twice a month - the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month.
  • 2pm - 4pm
