Portswood and Area Dementia Action Group Summer Update

This group has been working in the area during the lockdown and has been making a difference to local residents living with dementia and their carers.

To date we have held 17 Zoom soiree meetings and attendance has ranged from 6 to 15 at these weekly meetings on Tuesdays.   This has been very successful and is continuing for the time being. 

During the lockdown we have published 6 copies of Together we Stand (TWS) and this has been shared across the city to the Admiral Nurses, people living around our patch and others.  The archivist in SCC has been receiving a copy as well and this will form part of the Covid 19 resources that are being collated in the city.   The next edition of TWS will be published at the end of the month. 

The action group is looking for new members and our next meeting will be in September.  If you would like to get involved with an active group but with very few meetings then do consider joining our committee.
