A Nudge to Pray for Education and Health Workers Through Lockdown

While you eat breakfast? On a coffee break? As you take a stroll? Just before you fall asleep? In between home-schooling tasks?
When could you pray for frontline workers as we all go through lockdown?

People are facing really tough challenges at the moment and it can be overwhelming. How to help? Well, we know loads of people are doing loads of big and small things that are making an amazing difference to the lives around them.

One thing St Denys folk have decided to do is commit to pray for health and education workers each day through this latest lockdown, as we recognise that many are overstretched, overwhelmed and weary.

So, we've talked with frontline workers and identified 7 areas of focus (one for each day of the week) to pray for.

And we've set up a Prayer Nudge email to appear in our inboxes each day which will contain a small amount of info to help us pray and which will have the focus stated clearly in the subject line (for those of us who -let's be honest- don't open all the emails we get, despite best intentions). It'll start on Sunday 10th January and continue throughout this lockdown.

Would you like to join in too?

It would be great if you did. Because God cares and God acts and prayer matters and people need help.

If you would, then click on this link and fill in a very short form. You'll then start receiving the daily Prayer Nudges and you can choose when and how you can pray.

Feel free to email me, I'm the curate at St Denys, if you want to find out more or ask anything or let me know your frontline story.

Let's pray.
