Celebrate Christingle, Support The Children's Society
Every year, there's a real buzz of joy and excitement, as young and not-so-young come together to celebrate Christingle, mark the start of Christmas and support The Children's Society. Will you be part of that buzz this year?

When & where is St Denys' Christingle 2023?
Our Christingle service is at 5pm on Christmas Eve (Sunday 24th December). That's an hour earlier than recent years so that younger children can come along and join in before bedtime.
It's held in the main church, and lasts about 45 minutes.
What is a Christingle, and why?
It involves an orange, a ribbon, a candle and sweets. And together they tell of the heart of Christmas. Come along and you'll find out more!
As part of the service, we'll give you a Christingle to hold. There's a beautiful moment when we turn out the lights in church and light the candles on our Christingles.
Is it suitable for small children?
Yes, we aim to make it welcoming and safe for everyone. When the candles are lit, we ask that people stand quite still. And there are stewards around helping everyone to be safe. We ask that parents & adults help keep their families safe by encouraging everyone to take care.
How can I donate to the Children's Society?
Every penny you donate makes a difference to vulnerable children.
You can simply click on this link to donate (even if you don't go to the service!)
Or donate by card or cash at the Christingle service.
