Adult Onsite Social Group Risk Assessment - an example
Adult social groups take many forms: hot drinks and refreshment groups, a board game night, some form of creative or craft evening, support groups for people facing challenges. Each group will have its own particular context and risks, but there are also some common denominators. So use the risk assessment as a springboard and think about the real life situation you are writing for.

Some key things to think about:
- Are there particular risks linked with the group of adults you are focusing on inviting? (for example if they live with dementia, what risks are involved?)
- What are the activities that your group will be doing, and what particular risks to they raise (a creative group where people bring crafting knives has particular risks, whereas another group where they do seated yoga has different risks)
- Have you considered access and how people arrive and leave the group?
- Have you thought about the less obvious but possible scenarios that might lead to increased risk (e.g. a week when the group has to be in a different room than normal)
